After 20 years of friendship, Lorenz and Mircos idea was realized in Spring 2002, when they decided to make their independant product.
After plenty of considerations such as opening a bar, building a cleaning tower, etc. both decided to develop a cola which is superier to the market leader.

The following research helped establish the cola recipe.

Autumn/ winter 2002/ 2003
A brewery is found as a production partner.

The first (drinks) cases of the experimental cola are tested on a party in the dormitory on "living people". Brown vichy-bottles with labels from the copy-shop are used as the first bottles. The labels are added with a glue stick by hand.

After the first successful labels are printed, the first production was ordered.

On 30^th january, 2003, 170 crates of real fritz-kola are produced. They were transported at night with a hire car to hamburg.

Now the storage take place in private rooms, 80 crates in the basement of Lorenz` parents (after that also in the garden) and 90 crates in the washing room at Mircos´ grandparents (after that also in the garage).

28^th february 2003 - the foundation

Lorenz and Mirco registered their business, the fritz-kola - Hampl & Wiegert GbR. The first adress is the dormitory in Hamburg-Othmarschen.

In march and april 2003 the first customers are lured.

At the 15^th april 2003 the production goes into the second round and the goods are carried at night with the ever-reliable hire car to Hamburg.

In October 2003 the first crates of fritz-kola are carried to Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Then, finally, in the middle of 2005 the boxes are stored in their own storage in Ellerbek.

In January 2004 fritz-kola gets support from the fritz-limo in several flavours like appletizer, apple-cherry-elder, melon and lemonmelonade.

2006 the product line is expanded by fritz-kola sugarfree and fritz-kola kola-coffee-lemonade.

Since 2006 you can also enjoy fritz-kola and fritz-limo in your holidays. Especially in Barcelona and Vienna!

In january 2007 Lorenz and Mirco move into the office at the Lokstedter Steindamm.

On 1^st January 2008 fritz-kola move into the Liebigstraße. At the same time, Lorenz and Mirco expand their fritz-team.

In january 2008 you can get fritz-kola as a practical sixpack "Overdose". The apple-cherry-lemonade is refined with elder.

The new 0,2l bottel is presented right in time for the 'Internorga'. The assortement gets boosted by the introduction of the new "orange".

Im September 2008 gehen mit dem Club "WORM" in Rotterdam und dem Café "das ost" in Kopenhagen nun auch die Niederlande und Dänemark mit fritz-kola an den Start.
